FRUSTRATION
These early bits of evidence that Zoe present (see “Transformations“) highlight an often overlooked dynamic in parent/child relationships. Frustration! The feelings of being watched, overseen and constantly supervised flies in the face of newfound autonomy and Zoe demonstrates that here.

This frustration can certainly go both ways though! As parents we can feel hyper-vigilant, always wondering what scheme our children can be cooking up, especially when we haven’t heard from them in a while. Am I the only one who feels that way?
